Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ApproveExpense ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the product. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this Policy.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required to authenticate you, keep your session active, remember your selected company tenant, and protect against CSRF. The product cannot function without these.
- Preferences — remember UI choices such as theme, table filters (for example, the accountant's "Month Ending" filter), and the last company you signed into.
- Analytics — first-party measurement of pageviews, feature usage, and errors so we can improve reliability and performance. Aggregated and not used to build advertising profiles.
- Marketing — we do not currently set third-party advertising cookies. If we add them, we will update this Policy and request consent where required.
3. Third parties
Some cookies are set by service providers acting on our behalf, including our authentication provider, payment processor (for the billing portal), and analytics provider. These providers are contractually limited to processing data for ApproveExpense.
4. Your choices
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.
- If you are in a region that requires consent (such as the EEA or UK), we will request your consent for non-essential cookies on first visit and let you change it later.
- You can opt out of analytics by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser; we honor this signal for analytics cookies.
5. Changes
We may update this Policy as our use of cookies changes. Material changes will be communicated via the product or our website.
